Programmer / Controls Engineer Lead at Joseph Machine Company

Jeff Orner has over 28 years of experience in the engineering field. Jeff began their career in 1990 as a Technician at Flight System Industrial Products. From 1992 to 1996, they worked as an Engineering Technician at Oven Industries Inc., where they tested, troubleshot, and designed AC industrial proportional temperature controls. Jeff then moved on to Electronic Service and Design as a CAD/CAM Engineer, where they performed design rule checks on Gerber files. In 1997, they joined Vectron International as an Engineer, where they re-designed the Eurocase OCXO platform products to a common platform approach. From 2007 to 2012, they worked at TE Connectivity as a Development Engineer, specializing in SMA and microwave connectors for high precision applications. During this time, they also worked at TransCore as a Design Engineer, leading the development effort on the all electronic toll road system for a new PA Turnpike interchange exit 320. From 2012 to 2014, they worked at both Greenray Industries Inc. as a Senior Design Engineer and Amphenol InterCon Systems, Inc. as a Design Engineer. Most recently, they have been working at Joseph Machine Company, Inc. since 2018 as a Programmer / Controls Engineer Lead.

Jeff Orner has a diverse educational background. Jeff received their Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering Technology from Penn State Capital College in 2007. Prior to that, they earned an Associate of Science in Electrical Engineering from HACC, Central Pennsylvania's Community College in 2002. Jeff also completed an ASEE in Electrical Engineering from the same college in 2001. In 2021, they began pursuing a Graduate Management Certificate - Advanced Studies in Business from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania with an emphasis in Business Administration and Management, General. Additionally, they attended the Penn State Signal Integrity Symposium.
