Thomas Meyers has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Thomas began their career in the United States Marine Corps, serving as a Cpl from 1984 to 1987. Following their military service, they worked as a Program Director at the Catholic Home Bureau, where they managed a foster care program and implemented policies to ensure staff adherence to best practices.

In 2001, Thomas joined Safe Space NYC as the Director of Preventive Services. In this role, they oversaw the administration of nine programs aimed at preventing children from entering foster care and helped families become self-sufficient. Thomas successfully managed a $4 million budget and supervised a large staff.

Moving forward, Thomas held positions at The Child Center of NY, Volunteers of America-Greater New York, Educational Alliance, and Dulos Management Consulting. At The Child Center of NY, they served as an Associate Executive Director/Compliance Officer, overseeing preventive programs at eight locations and managing program contracts totaling over $16 million.

At Volunteers of America-Greater New York, Thomas was the Sector Director, responsible for managing fiscal operations and overseeing contracted facility services. Thomas directed a team of seven direct reports and 95 full-time staff.

Thomas also worked at Educational Alliance as the Director of Compliance, ensuring agency-wide contract compliance and conducting staff and client chart audits.

Most recently, Thomas held positions at Joseph P. Addabbo Family Health Center. Thomas began as a Compliance Officer/Safety Administrator, where they designed and directed a comprehensive corporate compliance program. Thomas was then promoted to the role of Chief Compliance Officer/VP of Wellness, where they managed behavioral health, HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention programs, and other components of social service programs.

Throughout their career, Thomas has demonstrated strong leadership, financial management, and compliance skills, as well as a commitment to improving the lives of individuals and communities.

Thomas Meyers earned an MSW degree in Social Work from Fordham University from 1995 to 1997. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Theology/Theological Studies from Emmaus Bible College.
