Marleny Villatoro is an experienced art professional currently serving as the NAGPRA Project Registrar at the Joslyn Art Museum since February 2023. Prior to this role, Marleny worked as a Student Registrar at the Carolyn Campagna Kleefeld Contemporary Art Museum from February 2022 to December 2022, and held a position as Curatorial and Registration Intern at LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes during the summer of 2021. Additionally, Marleny gained experience as a Preparator/Registrar Student Assistant at the Carolyn Campagna Kleefeld Contemporary Art Museum from September 2020 to May 2021, and worked as a Student Assistant at the Scholars Program at Santa Monica College from September 2018 to June 2020. Marleny holds a Bachelor of Arts in Art/Art Studies from California State University, Long Beach, as well as multiple Associate of Arts degrees in Fine/Studio Arts, Art History, and Arts and Humanities from Santa Monica College. Marleny is a graduate of Culver City High School, completing studies there in 2018.
