Taylor J. Acosta

Chief Curator & Willis A. Strauss Curator of European Art at Joslyn Art Museum

Taylor J. Acosta, PhD, serves as the Chief Curator and Willis A. Strauss Curator of European Art at the Joslyn Art Museum since January 2019, previously holding positions as Willis A. Strauss Curator and Associate Curator of European Art. Experience includes a curatorial role at the Myron Kunin Collection from 2007 to 2018 and a Graduate Research Fellow and Curatorial Intern position at the Minneapolis Institute of Art in 2015-2016. Educational qualifications encompass a BA in English Literature and Art History from Dartmouth College, an MLitt in Art History from the University of Glasgow, and both MA and PhD degrees in Art History from the University of Minnesota. Additionally, Taylor J. Acosta held the position of Gallery Director at Eli Wilner & Company from 2004 to 2005 and served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities from 2010 to 2015.
