Abhijeet Bayani

Abhijeet Bayani, PhD, is an experienced professional in wildlife biology, conservation, and ecology. Currently serving as a Science Writer at JoVE since April 2022, Abhijeet is involved with the Statistics team within JoVE Education. Concurrently, Abhijeet holds the role of Subject Editor for Check List and Nature Conservation at Pensoft Publishers since March 2018, where Abhijeet reviews manuscripts covering various conservation topics. Previously, Abhijeet was an Instructor at the Indian Institute of Science from August 2017 to March 2022, guiding undergraduate students in ecology and research projects. Abhijeet's earlier roles include Field Biologist at Wildlife Trust of India, Wildlife Biologist with Wildlife Conservation Trust, and Junior Research Fellow at the Wildlife Institute of India. Abhijeet's academic background includes a PhD in Wildlife Biology from the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), as well as a Master’s degree in Zoology and a Bachelor’s degree in Zoology, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Performing Arts.
