Nilesh Awari

Nilesh Avari is a Science Writer at JoVE since August 2021, specializing in the creation and review of scientific content for animated videos. Previous experience includes roles as a Research and Development Specialist at TrackRF Systems (October 2020 - August 2021) and as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf, where Nilesh focused on Spin Pumping and spin transfer torque effects in Mn-based Heusler alloys. Nilesh completed a PhD at the University of Groningen, investigating magnetization dynamics in various magnetic materials, and earned a Top Master in Nanoscience from the same institution. Earlier research experience includes a Junior Research Fellow position at Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, working on THz time domain spectroscopy. Nilesh holds a Master of Science degree in Condensed Matter and Materials Physics from the University of Mumbai.
