Pete Holmes

Pete Holmes has a long and varied work history that includes positions in both the public and private sectors. Pete began their career in the Australian Taxation Office, where they worked their way up to the position of National Manager of Information Technology Training. In this role, they were responsible for the training of tax officers in the use of new and emerging technologies.

In 2001, Holmes left the ATO to start their own business, Human Essence Pty Ltd. The company provided consulting services in the areas of human resources, information technology, and project management. It was during this time that Holmes also became involved with JOY 94.9, a community radio station in Melbourne, Australia. Pete served as the station's Secretary from 2006 to 2011.

In 2012, Holmes retired from the paid workforce and moved into a volunteering role with LifeWorks Relationship Counselling & Education. Pete served as the organization's Manager of Corporate Services from 2012 to 2016. In this role, they were responsible for the management of finances, facilities, administration, and information technology. Pete also served as the company's secretary.

Since retiring from paid employment, Holmes has been seeking opportunities to use their skills and knowledge in a volunteer capacity. Pete currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors for JOY 94.9.

Pete Holmes has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne, a Graduate Diploma in Business (Management) from RMIT University, and an Advanced Diploma in Gestalt Therapy from Gestalt Therapy Australia. Pete also has a certification in MBTI from an unknown institution.
