Filippo Gori

CEO, Asia Pacific at JPMorgan Chase & Co.

As the head of Banking for Asia Pacific, Filippo leads the Investment Banking and Corporate Banking businesses in the region which offer a complete range of strategic banking services to help clients — ranging from corporations to governments, banks and investors — to achieve their goals. He was appointed in this position in February 2019.

Filippo has also served since October 2018 as the CEO for Hong Kong, which is home to the firm’s Asia Pacific headquarters. In this capacity, Filippo is focused on ensuring strong local governance, coordination and controls — as well as employee and community engagement — across all of the company’s lines of business.

Filippo leads the Asia Pacific Management Committee, is a member of the firm’s Global Corporate & Investment Bank Management Committee and is also Chief Executive of JPMorgan Chase Bank NA Hong Kong Branch. Filippo has served as Chairman of the Asia Securities Industry & Financial Markets Association (ASIFMA) since September 2018 and as a board member since 2014.

Filippo is based in Hong Kong where he has lived with his wife and two children since 2013. Prior to his appointment as head of Banking in February 2019, Filippo was the Asia Pacific head of Sales & Marketing for Markets & Investor Services for six years. He was hired by J.P. Morgan at the end of 1999 as a graduate and worked in various Europe-focused roles in London and Milan within the firm’s Investment Bank and Asset Management businesses in the earlier stages of his career.

Filippo is fluent in both English and Italian. He holds a Master of Science in Economics (Honours) from Bocconi University and his thesis in Economic History was published in 1999.
