Yibin Xu

Yibin Xu, PhD, currently serves as an Executive Director in Applied AI/ML Fraud at JPMorgan Chase & Co. since June 2022. Prior to this role, Yibin held the position of Director, Data Scientist at USAA, leading projects that utilized Natural Language Processing for data-informed business decisions and developing behavior-based insurance pricing algorithms. Previous experience includes a Sr. Manager, Data Scientist role at DFC Global Corp., overseeing teams across multiple business lines, and a Manager/Sr. Data Scientist position at Capital One, where Yibin developed and implemented various financial models. Academic experience includes a Graduate Teaching Assistantship in Statistical Science at Southern Methodist University and a postdoctoral fellowship focused on protein studies at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Yibin holds a PhD in Biophysics from Iowa State University and has been a PhD candidate in Statistics at Southern Methodist University, along with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Science & Technology of China.
