Michael Ritsema

Michael Ritsema is an experienced Mechanical Project Engineering Manager at JR Automation, having held multiple roles since August 2011, including Senior Mechanical Project Engineer and Mechanical Project Engineer. Responsibilities include overseeing the design of large-scale automation systems, developing project plans, mentoring team members, supporting Applications Engineering in concept development, conducting machine safety risk assessments, and fostering customer relationships. Michael has also designed custom automation equipment for diverse applications such as automotive, medical, and food processing as a Mechanical Engineer. Prior to these roles, Michael served as a Student Lab Supervisor at Grand Valley State University and completed a Mechanical Engineering Co-op at JR Automation. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Grand Valley State University, completed in 2011.
