Sam Otto is an experienced engineering professional with a focus on product design and development. Currently serving as a Senior Product Engineer at JR286 since May 2021, Sam has contributed to Nike/Jordan Baseball and Team Sports Innovation. Prior experience includes roles as a Product Engineer II at Wilson Sporting Goods Co. and Options Engineer at Herman Miller. Sam was an original design team member at Fathom Underwater Drones, creating an affordable prototype for an underwater drone. Earlier internships at Prismier, LLC, and Now Foods provided hands-on experience in mechanical engineering, CAD analysis, prototype development, and machine maintenance. Sam holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Hope College, earned in 2016.
