Ilya Romanov

Ilya Romanov currently serves as the Head of Division for International Business Development and the Head of the Import Substitution Program (Directional Drilling & Formation Evaluation) at «Газпром нефть» since January 2024. Prior to this role, Ilya worked at Baker Hughes from November 2016 to January 2024 as a Senior Reservoir Navigation Supervisor, specializing in geosteering and supporting drilling operations across the MENAT region and the USA. Ilya also gained experience as a Geosteering Specialist at TRIAS-Engineering and as an M/LWD Engineer at Halliburton, contributing to directional drilling and formation evaluation projects. Ilya holds a Master of Science in Petroleum Geology and a Bachelor of Science in Well Logging, both from Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas.
