Alwyn Fouchee

Alwyn Fouchee has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Alwyn began their career in 2001 as an Associate in mergers and acquisitions at Hofmeyr Herbstein & Gihwala Inc, where they worked until 2005. Alwyn then served as the Group Legal Adviser at LA Group Limited from 2005 to 2006. In 2006, Alwyn joined JSE as a Corporate Finance Officer in the Issuer Regulation department, where they stayed until 2007. Alwyn then moved to Carey Olsen in 2008, where they worked as an Associate in Investment Funds & Corporate until 2010. From 2010 to 2011, Alwyn served as a Senior Client Services Manager at Carey Group, specializing in Listing Sponsorship and Fund Administration. In 2011, they returned to JSE as the Head of Regulatory Compliance in the Issuer Regulation department, remaining in this position to the present day. Alwyn Fouchee's career has encompassed roles in compliance, client services, investment funds, corporate law, and mergers and acquisitions.

Alwyn Fouchee's education history begins with their high school education at Vryheid High School in KZN. After completing high school, Alwyn attended the Rand Afrikaans University (now University of Johannesburg) from 1995 to 1998, where they obtained a degree in B.Proc. Following this, Alwyn pursued an LL.B degree at the Rand Afrikaans University from 1999 to 2000. They then went on to complete a Postgraduate Diploma in Corporate Law at the same institution from 2001 to 2002. Alwyn continued their education with an LL.M degree in Corporate Law from the Rand Afrikaans University, which they completed from 2002 to 2004. Finally, Alwyn obtained another LL.M degree, this time in Banking and Stock Exchange Law, from the University of Johannesburg from 2006 to 2008.
