Gerald Platteau

Gerald Platteau is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in life sciences, currently serving as a Senior Application Manager and Senior Application Engineer Bioprocess at JSR Life Sciences since October 2015. Gerald manages a team of scientists in the European division, specializing in protein chromatography and providing technical support for affinity chromatography materials. Earlier roles at JSR Micro NV included Process and Development Engineer Life Science and Life Science Engineer, focusing on downstream processes and feasibility studies. Prior to that, Gerald worked at Bio-Plus services as a Life Science Engineer and contributed to research as a Molecular Biologist at the University of Florida. Gerald holds a Master’s degree in Bio-engineer Cell and Gene Biotechnology from Ghent University and studied at Universitat Politècnica de València.
