Jason Zhang

Jason Zhang has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries. Jason most recently served as the Head of Corporate Venture Fund at JSR Life Sciences starting in 2021. Before that, they held roles such as Chief Operating Officer at PuraCap Pharmaceutical, LLC from 2019 to 2021, Managing Director at Humanwell Healthcare (Group) Co., Ltd. from 2017 to 2021, and Senior Vice President at Medisun Holdings Ltd from 2014 to 2015. Additionally, they have held positions at Edison Investment Research, Burrill & Company, BMO Capital Markets, JYZ Consulting, Prudential Financial, and Stephens Inc. throughout their career.

Jason Zhang received a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Plant Protection from Huazhong Agricultural University in 1984. Jason then pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Plant Pathology from China Agricultural University, which they completed in 1987. Continuing their education, Jason went on to earn a Ph.D. in Plant Pathology/Cell, Molecular, and NeuroSciences from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, graduating in 1994. Later, they attended Indiana University - Kelley School of Business from 1997 to 1999, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Finance.
