Mike Anderson

VP, Flight Operations at JSX

Mike Anderson is the Vice President of Flight Operations for JSX with the overall accountability for flight operations. He holds the responsibility to ensure that effective controls are in place and monitored for all flight operations activity and has direct oversight of the line pilots and mission control. Mike started his career 30 years ago where he worked in Alaska flying the North Slope and then as the Director of Operations for a scheduled Alaska carrier. In 1990 he began his airline career as a line pilot with Mesaba Airlines, a Northwest Airlines partner. Subsequently he held positions as a Check Airman, Chief Pilot, Director of Flying and Senior Director of Safety, and Vice President of Operations. He is licensed as an Airline Transport Pilot and is currently trained and typed in the EMB 135/145 series aircraft that JSX operates. He was instrumental in supporting the growth at Spirit Airlines for 10 years where he held senior level positions in Flight Operations and Safety from 2006 to 2016.
