Muthukrishnan Ramaswami

Muthukrishnan Ramawami is currently a Board Member at JTC Corporation. Prior to that, they were with National University Health System and GovTech Singapore. Muthukrishnan was with SGX from July 2007 to September 2019, where they were the President.

During their time at SGX, they were responsible for managing operations, technology, revenue and margin growth across key business units, as well as overseeing the performance of regulated entities. Muthukrishnan was also responsible for technology and operations, SGX Trading, Clearing and Depository entities, IT Service Delivery, Business Integration, Programme Management, Advisory, Risk, Outsourcing, Investment, Policy Engagement/Alignment, Customer & Stakeholder Management, Performance Management and Brand Growth. Muthukrishnan was also a member of various committees.

Under their leadership, the company saw robust growth in Derivatives through the addition of multiple asset classes. Muthukrishnan also restructured the Securities business unit and developed strong relationships with key regulators in the US and Europe. As a result of their efforts, the Derivatives business earned recognition under new European regulations and as a Commodities Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) recognized Derivatives Clearing Organization (DCO). Muthukrishnan was also invited to join the Global Markets Advisory Committee (GMAC) of the US CFTC.

Muthukrishnan Ramawami completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, specializing in management studies. Muthukrishnan also holds a Master of Science (MS) from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, where they studied mathematics.
