Dr. Atikah Shemshack

Dr. Atikah Shemshack is a seasoned educational leader with extensive experience in various roles, currently serving as Superintendent and Chief Academic Officer at Jubilee Academies since October 2023. Dr. Shemshack is also a Partner at EmpowerEDu Leadership and a Grant Reviewer for the Luxembourg National Research Fund, both contributing to community transformation and educational policy. Additional roles include Board Member for the Journal of Technology Integrated Lessons and Teaching and an Elected Board Member for the AECT's Learner Engagement Division. Previously, Dr. Shemshack was CEO/Superintendent at Promesa Academy Charter School and Campus Principal at Legacy Traditional Schools, focusing on goal alignment and improving educational outcomes. Dr. Shemshack holds a PhD in Learning Technologies from the University of North Texas and a Master's degree in Counselor Education from Lamar University.
