Ann Karanu has a diverse work experience in various companies and positions. Ann currently holds the position of Head of Human Resources at Jubilee Holdings Limited since October 2021. Prior to this, they worked as the Head of Human Resources at Mayfair CIB Bank Limited from November 2015 to September 2021.

Before their role at Mayfair CIB Bank Limited, Ann served as the Country Head of Resources at United Bank for Africa (UBA) from August 2009 to October 2015. Prior to that, they worked as the Head of Human Resources Development at Chase Bank (K) Ltd from January 2005 to August 2009.

Ann Karanu started their career as an Assistant Human Resources Manager at Haco Tiger Brands from August 2001 to December 2004.

With their extensive experience in human resources, Ann Karanu MBA, BComm, CHRP(K), MIHRM has developed a strong skill set and knowledge in managing HR operations and strategy.

Ann Karanu has a diverse and extensive education history. Ann completed their Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree in Management from The Catholic University of Eastern Africa from 1993 to 1997. Prior to that, from 1989 to 1992, they attended Kianda High School, where they obtained their O'Level degree in KCSE.

In 2001, Ann Karanu pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Strategic Management from the United States International University - Africa, which they completed in 2003.

Continuing their education, in 2016, Ann obtained a Post-Graduate Diploma in Human Resources Management from the College of Human Resources Management.

Ann Karanu's interest in human resources remained strong, as they enrolled in the College of Human Resources Management from 2019 to 2020 to become a Certified Human Resources Professional.

Additionally, Ann Karanu joined the Institute of Human Resources Management in 2017 and became a Full Member.

Currently, Ann Karanu is working towards a Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) with a focus on Strategy at the United States International University - Africa, which they began in 2020 and expects to complete in 2023.
