Kevin Williams

Kevin Williams, DCIE, has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Kevin currently works as a Data Center Lead / SME for The Judge Group, where they provide IT Data Center Facility Lead Services to the Army Air Force Exchange Services (AAFES) in Dallas, Texas. In this role, they manage and facilitates the distribution of tax-free goods and services to military members worldwide.

Prior to this, Kevin worked as a Roll Division Lead at Southern Carbide Technologies from October 2019 to March 2020. Here, they oversaw and actively managed the refurbishment and rebuild of cutter rolls for the roofing shingle industry. Kevin maintained a consistent and timely delivery schedule to support manufacturing facilities globally.

From 2001 to 2019, Kevin held various roles at ACS, XEROX, ATOS, and SYMTECH. Starting as a Data Center Technician, they played a key role in creating migration standardization processes and data center build-out choices that are still in use today. Kevin also achieved significant cost containment through standardization of data center infrastructure elements. As the corporate structure changed, Kevin continued to refine the data center hardware installation process and create a master template of instructions.

Earlier in their career, Kevin worked at HP as a Mid-range Server Customer Engineer and then as a 2nd Level Response Center Engineer. Kevin co-deployed maintenance processes for service contract support and improved service metrics for the FileNet Optical Disk Storage Systems. Kevin was later promoted to a 2nd Level Hardware Support Analyst, providing customer support to HP Field Staff nationally.

Kevin Williams, DCIE has a diverse education history. In 2020, they obtained the Certified DCIE by the International Data Center Authority (IDCA) degree from DCIE - International Data Center Authority, specializing in Data Center Infrastructure Expert. In the same year, they also earned the Google IT Support Professional Certificate from Merit America. Additionally, Kevin has pursued extensive field training over the years, encompassing various skills required for their professional endeavors. Kevin has also acquired multiple certifications, including Excel Skills for Business: Essentials, IT Security: Defense against the digital dark arts, and System Administration and IT Infrastructure Services, among others, from institutions such as Coursera and LinkedIn. Kevin's dedication to continuous learning is evident through their numerous qualifications that span across various fields, including technology and aviation.
