Julienne
Julienne helps pregnant women prevent and manage gestational diabetes to ensure a tasty journey for the mama and confidence in the health of the baby. Our mission at Julienne is to empower future moms by providing them with accessible, delicious, and low-glycemic meal plans and recipes developed by world-renowned chefs and approved by dietitians. Pregnancy can be a challenging journey, made even more so when a woman is diagnosed with gestational diabetes. The condition not only affects her health but also poses significant risks to her baby, such as abnormal growth and increased risk of developing diabetes later in life. For the mother, gestational diabetes in a first pregnancy leads to about a 50% chance of recurrence in subsequent pregnancies and approximately a 50% risk of developing type 2 diabetes postpartum. However, these risks can often be mitigated with a healthier diet and lifestyle, which is where Julienne steps in. Our approach focuses not just on managing gestational diabetes but also on its prevention. By adopting optimal prenatal nutrition, women can significantly reduce these risks. In France alone in 2022, there were about 70,000 women diagnosed with gestational diabetes, accounting for around 10% of births. In the United States, the number was approximately 290,000, about 8% of births. These figures underscore the growing need for specialized dietary guidance and support in this area, a need that Julienne is positioned to meet. Distinguishing ourselves from traditional dietitian services, Julienne offers an affordable subscription model that provides practical and tailored dietary solutions. This approach is not only about immediate management but also about long-term dietary education and lifestyle change, empowering women throughout their pregnancy journey and beyond. In conclusion, Julienne is committed to making a profound impact on the health of pregnant women and their babies.
