Mauro Allende Araya

Mauro Allende Araya is a co-founder and consultant for the agro-food industry at Biocapital since October 2019, focusing on product analysis, development, and the implementation of BPM, HACCP, and ISO standards. With a robust background in quality assurance, Mauro has held positions at Jumbo and served as a facilitator for Cencosud S.A., delivering training on BPM and HACCP. Mauro's early career included a significant role as an intern at Núcleo Biotecnología Curauma, where the thesis focused on the structure-function relationship of peptides against bacteria. Educational credentials include a degree from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso, where Mauro also assisted in teaching food biochemistry courses.
