Jonas Malheiro

Jonas Malheiro has extensive work experience in the hospitality industry. Jonas is currently serving as the Vice President Sales & Marketing Europe & Americas at Jumeirah Group / Jumeirah Hotels & Resorts since August 2019. Prior to this role, they worked at Belmond for over a decade, holding various positions such as Divisional Director of Sales EMEA, Regional Sales Director, Italy & Mallorca, Regional Director of Sales, Italy, and Associate Director of Sales. Before joining Belmond, they worked as an International Sales Manager at Belmond Reid's Palace. Jonas started their career as a Sales Executive at Grupo Pestana and also gained experience in humanitarian aid as Chief Project Coordinator at Ajuda Internacional (NGO - Humanitarian Aid), managing a cooperation program in Cape Verde.

Jonas Malheiro completed a Degree in Political Science and Foreign Affairs from Universidade Nova de Lisboa from 1996 to 2000. Jonas then pursued a Post Graduation in E-Business from ISCTE - Instituto Universitário de Lisboa from 2002 to 2003. Later, Jonas attended SDA Bocconi and obtained a degree in Performance Management for Top Management from 2014 to 2017. In addition to their formal education, Jonas also obtained a Level 2 Award in Wines and Spirits from WSET in 2017, a Level 1 - Award in Wines from WSET in 2016, completed the Sales Academy from Master Connection Associates in 2016, and completed the Introduction to Hotel Revenue Management from Cornell University in 2013.
