Ken Ngugi

Ken Ngugi is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in compliance and corporate governance. Currently serving as the Head of Legal and Compliance at Jumia Group since April 2016, Ken ensures adherence to relevant laws and regulations across the company's subsidiaries. Previously, Ken held the position of Chief Legal Officer at Unaitas from September 2012 to January 2016, and worked as a Lawyer at the State Law Office, specializing in civil litigation, arbitration, and commercial transactions. Ken's career also includes serving as a Legal Officer at Eco Boma LTD, where responsibilities included legal issues and dispute resolution. Ken holds a Master's Degree in Financial Services and Corporate Governance from the University of Nairobi, as well as several legal qualifications, including a Certified Public Secretary designation and a Postgraduate Diploma in Law. Additionally, Ken is currently pursuing certification as a Mediation Professional from MTI (USA).
