Erik S. has extensive experience in electrical engineering, having held roles in the field since 2013. Erik began their career as a Technical Engineering Co-op at GE Appliances in 2013, and held the same position the following year. In 2014, they also joined the National Society of Black Engineers as UIC Chapter Assistant Treasurer, UIC Chapter Secretary, and UIC Chapter Academic Excellence Chair. Erik then became a Supplemental Instructor at the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2013. In 2015, Erik S. returned to GE Appliances as a Technical Engineering Co-op and in 2016, they became an Electrical Engineer and a member of the Edison Engineering Development Program. In 2021, they joined June (Acquired by Weber-Stephen Products LLC) as an Electrical Engineer.
Erik S. received a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois Chicago in 2015, having started in 2010. Erik then went on to pursue a Master of Science - MS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Louisville, which they completed in 2018.
