Ian Dansey

Ian Dansey is a seasoned electrical engineer with extensive experience in the field, currently serving as a Senior Electrical Engineer at Tactacam since November 2025. In addition to this role, Ian is the founder of CB Logic, LLC, providing contract hardware engineering design and consulting since April 2021. Previous positions include Senior Electrical Engineer at Key Tech Inc. from October 2023 to April 2025, Project Engineer at Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. from March 2022 to October 2023, and Device Engineer at Alarm.com from March 2013 to March 2020. Ian's early career included research assistant roles at the VDOT Center for Innovation and Research and the University of Virginia. Educationally, Ian holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Virginia, obtained in 2013, and is a graduate of Phoebus High School.
