Joseph Ross

Joseph Ross has over 15 years of experience in software engineering and product development. Joseph began their career in 2005 as an Intern Developer at Emphasys, where they implemented a web application to manage public housing documents. In 2006, they joined Ford Motor Company as a Solution Developer, where they shaped the SYNC program by creating a proof-of-concept that led to the AppLink feature. From 2011 to 2014, they were a Senior Software Engineer at Pandora, where they enhanced iOS and Android apps to "cast" content from a phone to a home theater system, built a watch app to remote control the Pandora mobile app, and led the migration of iOS and Android code lines from Perforce to Git. From 2014 to 2016, they worked at Savant Systems as a Software Architect, where they were the Technical Lead for Nest integration in cloud, hub, iOS, and Android, and built an iOS framework to provide Wifi credentials to nearby devices via BTLE as part of the onboarding process. Since 2016, they have been the Engineering Manager and Software Engineer at June, and most recently, the Director of Engineering at Weber-Stephen Products LLC.

Joseph Ross attended Michigan Technological University from 2000 to 2006, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.
