Anurag Srivastava

A passion for growing borderless technology businesses defined Anurag’s professional career. He helped building HCL Technologies to a US$10bn giant by connecting the India-centric business with the APAC region before subsequently having a lasting impact on multiple US technology companies as they sought to tap into new Asian & European markets.

His entrepreneurial career began in 2006 as he used his extensive cross-market operational experience to turn exciting concepts into a diverse range of sustainable businesses that still thrive today. Product lifecycle management company Sconce Solutions, pioneering workplace design company Space Matrix Group, founded with wife Shagufta Anurag, which has grown from US$1mn to US$175mn, & award winning animation studio One Animation who distribute their content in 180 countries across Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, Cartoon Network & Disney gaining 25 awards & 2 Emmy nominations along the way.

Anurag’s has personally invested in many early stage companies across the world many of who have subsequently achieved impressive exists. These include Eloqua which was acquired by Oracle for US$1.2bn, Encentuate which was acquired by IBM & Indian company HolidayIQ acquired by Lastminute.com. As an investment committee member for Accel partners in India Anurag invested in tech firms like Myntra, a fashion ecommerce company subsequently acquired by Flipkart in the biggest ecommerce consolidation of 2014.

A strong believer in giving back, Anurag’s philanthropic journey began when he co-founded billionBricks, a non-profit innovation studio that utilises design and technology as primary tools to provide innovative housing solutions to the homeless. Their most notable and award-winning solutions are weatherHYDE, a life-saving emergency tent which protects the vulnerable from extreme weather and powerHYDE, the world’s first carbon positive residence for the homeless.

Anurag is a BTech Electrical Engineering graduate from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT Kanpur), one of the premier technical and research universities in India.
