Jim Watt

VP, Advancement & New Strategic Initiatives at Juniata College

Jim Watt is currently the VP of Advancement at Juniata College. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Development at Juniata College from October 2009 to October 2012. In that role, they functioned primarily as a major gift officer, but also led the leadership giving and planned giving staff. Jim coordinated campaigns and secured financial support for the college to achieve its strategic objectives.

Jim has a long history of working in development and fundraising. Jim has a strong commitment to donor-centered fundraising in order to support the needs of Juniata College and its constituents. Jim is a skilled communicator and has a proven track record of successfully completing asks through effective communication of the needs, accomplishments, and goals of the college.

Jim Watt has a Doctor of Philosophy in Organizational Leadership from Eastern University, a Certificate in Advance Graduate Studies in Higher Education Administration, Nonprofit, Business from Eastern University, a Master of Science in Human Resource Development from Villanova University, and a B.S. in Human Resources from Geneva College. Jim also has a degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies and Humanities from Penn State University.

They are on a team with Tracy Grajewski - Executive Director & CHRO, Lauren Bowen - Provost, and Bethany Sheffield - Executive Assistant. Jim Watt reports to James Troha, President.
