Director Of Partner Engagement For 3de at Junior Achievement of Eastern Iowa

Dominique Brooks, PhD has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and organizations. Currently, they serve as the Experiential Learning Director at Junior Achievement of Eastern Iowa since October 2022. Previously, Dominique worked as the Director of Learning at Leaders Believers Achievers from October 2021 to October 2022. They also held the position of Coordinator for Pre-College Programs at Oregon State University from November 2018 to October 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Multicultural Specialist at the Center for Diversity & Enrichment, University of Iowa, assisting in the recruitment and support of underrepresented students from September 2014 to October 2018.

Dominique also worked as the Education Director at Legacy Basketball Academy, Inc.; Diversity Consultant from October 2013 to August 2014, where they researched and developed a complementary classroom curriculum for basketball-focused intervention. Additionally, they served as a Research Assistant and Team Leader at the University of Iowa: Project HOPE from August 2008 to April 2014.

Further, Dominique gained experience as a Psychology Intern at the Mayor's Youth Empowerment Program in 2013 and as an Instructor for Math and Science at The Academy for Scholastic and Personal Success in 2013. During their education and training, Dominique worked as a Practicum Student at Anchor Center from August 2011 to May 2012 and at University Counseling Services from August 2010 to May 2011.

Throughout their career, Dominique has shown a commitment to education, multiculturalism, and supporting underrepresented populations.

Dr. Dominique Brooks obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from The Ohio State University between 2002 and 2006. Later, they pursued their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Counseling Psychology at the University of Iowa from 2006 to 2014.
