Junior Offshore Group (JOG)
Catherine Platts has a diverse background in the sailing and watersports industry, currently serving in a racing and membership role at Junior Offshore Group since October 2024. Prior experience includes serving as Sailing Secretary at Royal London Yacht Club from October 2022 to December 2023, and operational responsibilities at Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust from May 2022 to November 2022. Catherine has also held various positions at OC Sport from January 2015 to February 2019, including Host Venue Manager, Host Venue Executive, and Media and Communications Assistant. Earlier roles include Training and Operations Coordinator at Flying Fish, Restaurant Manager at The Salt Pig, and Watersports Instructor both at Wight Water and UKSA. Catherine holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Applied Sports Science from Solent University, earned between 2009 and 2012.

Junior Offshore Group (JOG)
JOG is a yacht club with a difference. What makes JOG different is known amongst the members at “the spirit of JOG”, it is an outlook and an attitude that captures and combines serious seamanship with a chivalrous but competitive edge and lots of joie de vivre. Since 1950, they have been focused on making coastal and offshore racing accessible to small boat owners by keeping entry fees modest. Whilst they take racing seriously, they value sportsmanship and community above all else. They encourage supporting each other by swapping sailing yarns and tips inside JOG enabling them to perform to their best standard which produces a competitive but friendly yacht racing environment.
