Tarek Saad

Tarek Saad currently serves as a Principal Software Engineer at Cisco since August 2022 and has been a Principal Engineer at Juniper Networks since March 2019. Tarek Saad also holds the position of MPLS Working Group Chair within the IETF, a role occupied since 2014. Prior experience includes serving as a Senior Technical Leader at Cisco Systems from January 2005 to March 2019, where responsibilities encompassed IOS-XR routing protocols, including Segment Routing Traffic Engineering, BGP based EVPN, and various VPN technologies. Earlier in Tarek Saad's career, instrumental work was performed as an Instrument and Control Engineer at CCC Group, Inc. from 1997 to 2000. Academic credentials include a PhD and MASc. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Ottawa, as well as a BEng. in Electrical Engineering from the American University of Beirut.
