About your role

Juniper Square is industry-leading in the transformation of private capital markets through innovation & technology, and we are expanding globally to keep up with the demand for innovation! As a Technical lead, you will collaborate closely with other engineers and cross-functional partners across our product, design, and quality assurance teams to extend and build out new system capabilities. Your role is to collaborate with the team to deliver on these objectives and contribute to evolving our platform's infrastructure to meet expanding scope and scale.

What you’ll do

• Work closely with cross-functional partners across our Product, Design and ProdOps teams to gather requirements.
• Come up with the technical specification and review with stakeholders
• Define granular technical tasks to implement the requirement
• Work hands-on with junior engineers to execute development tasks to completion
• Define new and expand existing data models, including database schema and object models in the data access layer
• Implement required business logic in the service layer

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
• 8+ years of experience building cloud-based web applications
• Expertise in object-oriented programming (OOP) such as Python, Java or similar server-side web application development languages
• Experience with frameworks like Django, FastAPI, Pyramid or similar
• Experience with GraphQL or Rest APIs
• Experience with SQL database schema design and query optimization
• Experience with React, Typescript or Jinja templates is a plus but not mandatory
• Experience with Cloud (AWS preferred), Docker, and Kubernetes would be desired
• You must be self-driven, flexible and adaptable—you will be operating in a fast-paced startup environment.
