Tim Roorda

Tim Roorda has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Tim currently works at Juniper Unmanned, where they have held various leadership roles since 2015, including Chief Safety Officer, Chief Practice Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and Director of Solutions Engineering. In these positions, they have demonstrated expertise in delivering insights and vision to decision-makers through advanced sensors and quality data products. From 1999, Tim served as the CEO of Hathaway Bridge, LLC and Bridge Communications, where they focused on linking intelligent actions for purpose and profit as a consultant and business diplomat. Prior to that, they worked at the US State Department as a Foreign Affairs Officer from 2010 to 2014. Tim also served as the Chief of Staff at J80, NORAD-USNORTHCOM in 2009, and as the Plans and Policy Yemen Country Engagement Officer at COMUSNAVCENT, 5th Fleet in 2008. From 2005 to 2008, Tim held the position of Operations and Test Chief at J80, NORAD-USNORTHCOM, and earlier, in 2004, they worked as the Military Assistant to POLAD, NORAD-USNORTHCOM at USNORTHCOM. Tim Roorda completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language and Literature, General at Centre College of Kentucky from 1980 to 1984. Tim then pursued a Masters in Arts Law and Diplomacy (MALD) at The Fletcher School at Tufts University, specializing in International Security and International Business Ethics, from 1991 to 1993. In 2012 to 2013, Tim Roorda studied Operational Art and Design, obtaining a Masters in Military Arts and Sciences (MMAS) at the School for Advanced Military Studies (SAMS). Recently, in 2020 to 2021, they obtained a Master's Certificate from the University of Denver, focusing on GIS with an emphasis on Unmanned Aircraft Systems.
