Tim Roorda completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language and Literature, General at Centre College of Kentucky from 1980 to 1984. Tim then pursued a Masters in Arts Law and Diplomacy (MALD) at The Fletcher School at Tufts University, specializing in International Security and International Business Ethics, from 1991 to 1993. In 2012 to 2013, Tim Roorda studied Operational Art and Design, obtaining a Masters in Military Arts and Sciences (MMAS) at the School for Advanced Military Studies (SAMS). Recently, in 2020 to 2021, they obtained a Master's Certificate from the University of Denver, focusing on GIS with an emphasis on Unmanned Aircraft Systems.
