Mark Powney has a diverse work experience spanning across various industries. Mark started their career as a Senior IT Technician at Currys PC World Business in 2003 and later moved on to become a Retail Manager at Dixons Retail. In 2011, they joined Tesco PLC as a Compliance Manager and later took on the role of Operations Manager. In 2017, Mark became a Contact Centre Manager at BT, where they worked until 2022. Mark then joined Jurassic Fibre as the Head of Customer Operations and is currently serving as the Head of Customer Service at Cuckoo since 2023.
Mark Powney obtained a Diploma in Computer and Information Sciences from the University of Glamorgan, where they studied from 2002 to 2004. Prior to that, they pursued Information Technology at Bridgend College from 2001 to 2002, earning a National Open College Network degree. Additionally, they have various certifications including Building Incident Coordinator from Safetyboss, Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) from Disclosure Scotland, and a Bridgend County Borough Council Licencing act 2003 Personal Licence. Mark has received certifications in food safety and hygiene, bike safety, computer fundamentals, and management programs, among others.
