Jeffrey Perez

Jeffrey Perez is an accomplished intellectual property professional with extensive experience in strategic transactions and development within the life sciences sector. Currently serving as a member at Juris Collective since January 2021, Jeffrey previously held the role of Senior Vice President for Intellectual Property Affairs at Precigen, where responsibilities included structuring and executing global strategic transactions and leading negotiations for key collaborations. Prior to this, Jeffrey was a Managing Director and Associate General Counsel at Third Security, LLC, focusing on evaluating investment opportunities in life sciences. Jeffrey’s legal career began as an Associate at Hunton & Williams LLP, managing IP portfolios and advising on patent strategy. Jeffrey also served as a Law Clerk at Nixon Peabody and worked as a Lead Research Specialist at Emory University. Educational credentials include a J.D. in Intellectual Property Law from George Mason University and a B.S. in Biology from Cornell University.
