Miriam Ortiz

Miriam Ortiz, MPP, serves as the Director of Education and Training at Just-A-Start Corporation since September 2018, where a focus is placed on community development and economic resilience. Previously, Miriam held the role of Director of Workforce Development Programs at the Italian Home for Children from August 2014 to August 2017, and served as Chief of Staff and Associate Director at Centro Latino, Inc. from January 2012 to July 2014. Additional experience includes positions such as Youth and Families Program Manager and Special Projects Coordinator at the Student Immigrant Movement, as well as an internship at the Massachusetts Immigrant & Refugee Advocacy Coalition. Educational qualifications include a Master's Degree in Public Policy from Tufts University, participation in the Community Fellows Program at Boston University's Questrom School of Business, and a Bachelor of Arts degree as a Posse Scholar from Bryn Mawr College.
