Karthik Sivashanker is an accomplished psychiatrist with extensive experience in healthcare leadership and education. Currently serving at the Justice Resource Institute since June 2017, Karthik also held significant roles as Vice President of Equitable Health Systems at the American Medical Association and Co-Lead for the Rise to Health Coalition between January 2021 and March 2024. Previous positions include Medical Director for Quality, Safety, and Equity at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Faculty at the Institute for Healthcare Improvement. With a robust academic background, Karthik earned a Master of Public Health from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and a Doctor of Medicine from Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy from Northwestern University.
