Roody Herold

Chief Information Officer at Justice Resource Institute

Roody Herold is currently the Chief Information Officer at Justice Resource Institute. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Strategic Planning & Innovation for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts (EOLWD) from January 2010 to January 2016. In that role, they were responsible for directing all aspects of innovation, strategic planning and business transformation processes for the department. Specific responsibilities included the development and implementation of innovative 3-5 year strategic plan that strengthen the agencies’ operating model and improve client experience while enhancing operational effectiveness by establishing best practices and efficiencies. Roody also made certain agency relentlessly pursue continuous improvement opportunities to re-design / re-engineer key business functions and processes that will advance the department from “E-Government Information” to “I-Government Innovation.” Additionally, they served as the lead advisor on various technology and innovation projects to ensure initiatives are in agreement with the overall long-term strategic plan of the department.

Before their time at EOLWD, Roody served as the Director of Information Technology for Commonwealth of Massachusetts (DIA) from January 2008 to December 2010.

Roody Herold has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Suffolk University - Sawyer Business School, a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Urban Ministry Leadership from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, a Graduate Diploma in Professional Accounting (G.D.P.A.) from Suffolk University - Sawyer Business School, and a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Electrical Engineering Technology from Louisiana Tech University.
