Sevla Serbest has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Sevla most recently worked as the VP of People and Culture at Justlife, an online on-demand cleaning services marketplace. Prior to that, they served as the Director of People at Modanisa, a global modest fashion e-commerce company. Sevla also held the position of Director of People and Culture at Bayzat, a technology company providing insurance and HR solutions. Sevla gained experience in venture capital as an HR Manager at Aslanoba Capital, an early-stage technology VC fund. Additionally, Sevla has worked as an HR Manager at Peak Games, a social gaming company, and as a Senior Human Resources Generalist at Rocket Internet Turkey & MENA, a global internet incubator. Sevla began their career as a Human Resources Generalist at ILBAK Holding, a local company focused on media advertising, printing, construction, and mining. Lastly, Sevla worked as a Retail Operations Specialist at Evita Textile/BGN and as a Psychological Counselor at Private Doga Colleges.

Sevla Serbest completed their Executive Education in Business Strategy for HR Leaders at INSEAD in 2018. Prior to that, they obtained their M.A. degree in Guidance and Psychological Counseling from Boğaziçi University, with a starting year that is not specified and an end year of 2010. Sevla also holds a B.A. degree in Guidance and Psychological Counseling from Boğaziçi University, which they completed between 2000 and 2005.
