Jeff Soares

Jeff Soares is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at Juvare since May 2021. Prior to their current position, they had a long tenure at LiveProcess starting from October 2006 till May 2021, where they worked as a Senior Software Engineer. At LiveProcess, Jeff was part of a small development team responsible for a large-scale enterprise application used by over 500 hospitals for emergency planning, communications, and response. Jeff converted a basic PHP and JDBC application into a three-tier architecture using various technologies such as PHP, GWT, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Spring, Hibernate, MyBatis, and MySQL.

Before LiveProcess, Jeff worked at Avotus Corporation as a Senior Software Engineer from February 2003 to October 2006. There, they were part of the initial development team that built a custom software solution to track, manage, and analyze telecommunications networks and expenses for customers. Jeff helped track telecom inventory, assisted in ordering and disconnecting services, validated invoices, and disputed erroneous charges.

Prior to Avotus Corporation, Jeff worked at Vertek Corporation as a Technical Project Leader from October 1994 to February 2003. In this role, they collaborated with project managers and led teams of developers and Quality Assurance Engineers on custom projects for major telecommunications clients. Jeff closely worked with clients, project management, development team, domain experts, and client hosting personnel to deliver custom applications. One of their notable achievements was building a reporting portal for large telecommunication business lines.

Jeff also gained experience working at AT&T as a Senior Software Engineer from February 1990 to October 1994. In this role, they developed a PC-based bill reporting system used by large companies to track, analyze, and bill back their phone charges. Jeff wrote installation procedures, optimized data calculations using a proprietary data format, and created a C graphics library for customizable data visualization.

Before AT&T, Jeff worked at AM Best Company as a Lead Developer from February 1987 to February 1990. Jeff was part of a large team that developed PC-based financial reporting software for insurance companies. Jeff contributed to the development of a C-based form rendering and processing module used for reporting financial data.
