Caitlin Hughes

Independent Director at Juventus

Caitlin Hughes was born in Bangor, Wales, on 19 February 1980. She has worked in the fields of strategy consulting and media for fifteen years.

Caitlin holds a Bachelor Degree in Experimental Psychology with Honours from Oxford University (Wadham College) and a Masters Degree in International Relations and Economics at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS). She has an Executive Education qualification from Oxford University’s Säid Business School.

Caitlin began her career in 2001 at McCann Erickson and joined the Boston Consulting Group in 2004 where she worked for five years advising clients across a range of sectors including media, financial services, consumer goods and retail.

She joined the BBC in 2009 working in a variety of strategy roles in the Future Media & Technology and Radio divisions. In 2013 she moved to the BBC’s commercial arm, BBC Studios (formerly BBC Worldwide), as Director of Global Sales Strategy and Planning and in 2014 she was appointed Director of Business Development for Global Markets. She was a member of the Global Markets Board and the Global Leadership Team. Caitlin left the BBC in 2018 to launch Halios Ltd, a business focused on advising high-growth companies in the media and technology sectors.

Caitlin is a Trustee and Honorary Treasurer of David Nott Foundation, a UK-registered charity which provides specialized training to surgeons in conflict and natural disaster zones around the world.
