David Schmid

David Schmid is an experienced mechanical engineer with a diverse background in various engineering roles across multiple industries. Currently serving as the Corporate Mechanical Equipment Engineer Manager at JW Aluminum, David has previously worked as a Technical Requirements Engineer 3 on the MOX Project at Shaw AREVA MOX Services, LLC, where responsibilities included developing Stainless Steel Gloveboxes for Nuclear Reactor fuel fabrication. David's extensive experience also includes positions as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Okuma America, a Design/R&D Engineer at Gaston County Dyeing Machine Company, and Hackney Brothers, as well as earlier roles in high-speed food packaging at Tipper Tie. David began their career as a co-op mechanical engineer at Michelin while pursuing an education at Clemson University.
