Richard Langdon

Richard Langdon is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in mechanical engineering management. Currently serving as the Mechanical Engineering Manager at JW Aluminum since February 2023, Richard previously held the position of Sr. Engineering Manager at Proterra Inc., where Richard led the Product Support Team from November 2018 to February 2023. Prior roles include Engineering Lead at RENK America, overseeing all engineering activities for the North American Fluid Film Bearing Headquarters, and Engineering Manager at DeVita & Associates, Inc., managing a multi-disciplinary group providing engineering services. Richard began their career as a Lead Engineer at GE Power, where Richard focused on technology planning for product development, and previously worked as a Project Engineer at Spirax Sarco USA and a Research Assistant at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. Richard’s early experience includes serving as a Gas Turbine Systems Technician in the US Navy. Richard holds an MBA from the University of South Carolina Darla Moore School of Business and dual Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of South Carolina.
