David Lapalomento

David LaPalomento currently serves as the CTO of JW Player, a position held since August 2021. Prior to this role, David spent nearly a decade at Brightcove, where responsibilities included serving as VP of Engineering, leading engineering and operations, and managing a significant global reorganization in alignment with new products and strategies. David also held the position of Director of Engineering at Brightcove, where a notable achievement was the development and launch of a cloud-based video delivery platform. Earlier in the career, David led the frontend engineering team for Novell Vibe at Novell and co-invented multiple user experience innovations, contributing to the technology field with six patents. Early professional experience includes software engineering roles at Jackpot Rewards, Inc., and Hewlett-Packard. David earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Austin.
