Niels Aavild

Niels Aavild has a significant work experience in the banking sector. Niels currently holds the position of Senior Vice President, Syndication at Jyske Bank since January 2022. Prior to this, they worked as Vice President, Debt Capital Markets at Nykredit Bank A/S from September 2010 to November 2021. Before that, they were the Head of Treasury at HSH Nordbank AG, Copenhagen Branch from September 2001 to June 2010. Some of their other notable roles include Head of Treasury, Investments and Trading at HSH Nordbank, Copenhagen Branch from 2006 to 2008 and CIO (Local Head of Portfolio Management and Investments) from 2004 to 2006. Niels also has experience in risk management, bond trading, and sales from their roles at LB Kiel, Copenhagen and Gudme Raaschou. Prior to that, they worked as the Head of Foreign Bond Trading at Danske Markets and as a Senior Bond Trader at Union Bank of Switzerland in London.

Niels Aavild completed their education in various fields related to banking, finance, and securities law. Niels obtained a Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Asset Management, and Financial Arithmetic from Bankacademy, Provinsbanken in 1990. Prior to this, they attended The Danish Bankers Association, Bankschool II from 1982 to 1984, where they focused on banking, corporate finance, and securities law. In addition, they completed the ACI Diploma program in 2003 and the ACI Dealing Certificate program in 2002. In 1981, they also completed a program at The Danish Bankers Association, Bankschool I, with a focus on finance.
