Dan Clemens

Dan Clemens has a strong background in education and school administration. Dan currently holds the position of Senior Vice President of District Relations at K12 Insight, a role they began in 2024. Prior to this, Clemens worked at North Kansas City Schools for over two decades. At North Kansas City Schools, they held various positions including Superintendent from 2016 to 2024, Assistant Superintendent of Administrative Services from 2009 to 2016, Director of Human Resources in 2008, Middle School Principal from 2004 to 2008, and Elementary School Principal from 2000 to 2004. Before joining North Kansas City Schools, Clemens worked at St. Joseph School District as an Elementary School Principal and Alternative School Principal from 1997 to 2000.

Dan Clemens has a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education/Health Teaching and Coaching from Missouri Western State University, which they obtained from 1990 to 1994. Dan then pursued a Master's degree in Administration and School Supervision at Northwest Missouri State University from 1995 to 1997. Later, from 1998 to 2000, they earned an Ed.S (Specialist in Education) degree in School Leadership from the same institution. Lastly, Dan completed their education with a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from Nova Southeastern University, which they obtained from 2003 to 2006.
