Jason Berk has a strong background in software engineering with a focus on Java programming. Jason started their career at Purdue University in 2000 as a Programmer Analyst and Security Analyst, where they gained experience in Perl programming and UNIX systems. Jason developed an original "student course management" system during their time there.
In 2007, Jason joined Walker Information as a J2EE Programmer, specializing in UNIX and Java development. Jason also handled general UNIX system administration and created web applications and unit tests.
In 2008, they moved to Purdue Federal Credit Union as a Senior Java Programmer, specializing in system design and software architecture. Jason used Spring IOC and developed a Java-based estatement solution for the organization.
Jason then worked at Theoris as an Application (Java) Programmer, where they focused on Java programming and application development using Java technologies.
From 2013 to 2014, they were a Software Engineer at Interactive Intelligence, gaining experience in software engineering and development.
Jason then joined NextGear Capital in 2014 as a Software Engineer, where they continued to focus on software engineering and development until 2022.
In 2022, Jason became a Senior Software Engineer at Bonterra, where they worked until 2023.
Currently, they hold the role of Senior Software Engineer at K1X, Inc. since March 2023.
