David Carson

David Carson is an experienced insurance professional with a focus on property treaty business. Currently serving as Managing Director of K2 CAT, which David founded in 2013, Carson has a proven track record in reinsurance and catastrophe underwriting. Prior to this role, Carson held key positions including Head Underwriter at Pioneer Underwriters and Head of Property Treaty at Hardy Underwriting Group Plc. With expertise developed over decades, including roles as Managing Director of the Property Team at DP Mann and as a Treaty Underwriter at RA Edwards, Carson has successfully managed global portfolios and sourced substantial reinsurance proposals. Carson's early career began as a Treaty Broker at Greig Fester and as an Assistant Manager at Our Price. Academically, Carson holds a BA in English and American & Commonwealth Arts from the University of Exeter.
