Karen Tay Koh has worked in various roles in the corporate world since 2011. In that year, they became a Member of the Advisory Board of the Centre for Emerging Markets and a Corporator and Asia Advisory Council Member of Northeastern University. In 2014, they were appointed as a Board Director at Falck. In 2016, they became the Executive Director and CEO of IPIM Singapore and Deputy Chair and Board Director of Red Pencil Singapore. In 2018, they were appointed as a Board Director and Member of the Finance and Admin Committee of Singapore Deposit Insurance Corporation. In 2019, they became an Independent Director and Remuneration Committee Chair, Member of Audit and Risk Committee of Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts. In 2020, they were appointed as an Independent Director and Member of the Audit Committee and Risk Committee of HSBC Bank Singapore Ltd, an Independant Director and Member of Audit and Risk Committee of Manulife US REIT, and a Board Director and Audit Committee Chair, Senior Advisor and Chair of Asia Advisory Board of BC Platforms. In 2022, they were appointed as a Non-Executive Director of K3 Ventures.

Karen Tay Koh holds a Master in Public Administration and International Tax Program Certificate from Harvard University, as well as a MA and BA in Economics from the University of Cambridge.
